The first results of our collaboration with MIT and Seoul National University were on display at a workshop held in conjunction with this year’s International Symposium on Computer Architecture (ISCA).
The system, called BlueSSD, will allow researchers to experiment with SSD designs by prototyping them using a commercially available Xilinx FPGA board and a custom daughterboard. We are excited to see what interesting things people find to do with the system, especially since it gives them access to all components of the SSD and system software stack.
